Not cool, imitator!!

To share it in the same group that I'm in is totally bold..This is sick..And to have someone to back that person up ("couldnt it have been a simple coincidence that she picked the same colors and quills for the owl?! could be..!"), made me even more furious..I responded to both group and blog posts, but that person hasn't replied to any yet (perhaps not connected to the Internet for now)..

Though I have my watermark (left side) on the card, that person also came out with the copyrighted version (right side) of the paper clips..

Can you spot the difference? I leave it to you to decide..

Dear...Inspiring and being inspired is nothing wrong. But the source of inspiration is worth mentioning...must in many cases.
Till they do copying work...they cant create anything new...So b cool..Dont worry!
Heart felt words to share with U...

The thing is the nerve to place a copyright onto the work..I wouldn't mind if proper acknowledgement is given..I sure hope people will learn how to appreciate and be inspired properly to avoid people getting offended..Nonetheless, thank you guys for your pep-talk..

Yes Nur, I completely agree with Sathya. We all need inspiration at some time or the other but blatantly ignoring the credit where it is due is awfully wrong! Kudos to your originality! :-)

I appreciate your recognition of my work..It's not that I'm looking for fame, but for that person to even put 'Copyright' is totally absurd..

Thatz shows their silly mentality to copyright things which is copied... :)
Just smile at these absurd things dear..Better think in the other way round....That shez been very much inspired by ur owl...to recreate and to patent it in her name!!!!!!!!

Hi Syaz, I'm really sorry if I hurt you.... actually there was no intention of that.... I picked up the image on google image search some time back so i had no idea as to who created it ..... otherwise I would have given credit... I'm new at quilling so when I made my 1st piece I gave the credit to the orignal quiller......and the copyright is for other creations.... once again sorry if I hurt you... and thank you for letting me know...I will edit my post.. Hope that clears things up...

I also think there is a general confusion about what exactly is copyrighted. Is it the image, the specific quilled work, or the idea, or every part of the idea as well as the image. I think there is some creativity in copying your design of the owl to make it paper clips. But in every copyright, there should be acknowledgments. Thats what happens in computer codes. You are allowed to take and modify codes as long as you mention who wrote the original code.

In this case, it wasn't mentioned at all..We've resolved this matter..

Dear Syaz copying is the greatest flattery !! When we are new to the net and blogging ,the inspiration maybe from saved photos from the ner and it may be difficult to even credit the person as you wont know who it is!!.. In your watermark the blog name is not included so giving the benefit of doubt works better for your peace of mind. I myself have some glass paintings at home I have no idea where I saved the designs from and cant credit the designer-- happens to all of us and take it in the right spirit!!

Google has links on every picture it portrays..And the name of my blog is clearly stated there..Perhaps it's too small =) Case closed already..
